Well, I'm naturally quite partial to all my cake recipes ;-) My son is always happy with chocolate cake and frosting like in this one:

http://www.maplespice.com/2009/05/quadruple-layer-chocolate-cake.html

It's the standard chocolate wacky cake which I find is always nice - It's always the first one I go for. You could frost all around and decorate it up more for a birthday, or change the frosting flavour for a white frosting which can look more girly, especially with decorations.

The four layers would be good for a 4th birthday too (kinda like I did with the 10 layer cake for my boy!!) Unless you have some novelty cake pans, they are always good for a fun cake, like that giant cupcake pan - can really see that one for a 4 year old girl...or a 38 year old one as I really want it myself, lol.

Anwyay, good luck!Debbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17733503025531290452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7608706408360417857.post-34703220434134157042012-06-09T14:42:49.388+01:002012-06-09T14:42:49.388+01:00I am dying to make my own bread, this looks yum!

I really liked that you used rye in this, the next time I make soup I’m going to whip some up.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
